La Academia ha publicado la lista de las 49 canciones que son elegibles para esta edición de los Oscar. El próximo 6 de enero, los miembros de la rama de música se reunirán para escuchar los clips de estos temas y emitir sus votaciones. La organización ha introducido un tope máximo de nominaciones por película. Serán anunciadas, junto al resto de categorías, el 22 de enero.
