La organización del Festival Internacional de Cine de Toronto acaba de anunciar los primeros títulos que conformarán la edición de este año, que se abrirá con la versión que Antoine Fuqua ha hecho del western Los siete magníficos. Entre los estrenos anunciados, aparte de la película de J.A. Bayona, se pueden ver títulos como Arrival de Denis Villeneuve, LBJ de Rob Reiner, Their Finest de Lone Scherfig, La comuna, de Tomas Vintenberg, la segunda película como director de Tom Ford, Nocturnal Animals, Salt and Fire de Werner Herzog. El TIFF 2016 también exhibirá cintas procedentes de otros festivales, como Paterson, Toni Erdman, Loving y American Honey, que pasaron por Cannes, Things To Come, que se vio en la Berlinale, y La La Land, que se proyectará poco antes en el Festival de Venecia.
El festival transcurrirá entre el 8 y el 18 de septiembre.
